DRIVING NOT REURNING
Colton Mathis, a driver in the RFC (Previously known as the League of Champions) will not return for the 2024 season. Colton has won three champions in the series (2019, 2021, 2022) all in a row, except for the break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
THREE NEW DRIVERS
Three new faces join as Colton leaves the series for a year. Dustin Cope, Garrett Underwood and Tanner Norman, all from Western North Carolina. Adding these new drivers to the roster will make the 2024 season the biggest and most competitive yet.
NEW POINTS SYSTEM
A new points system enters the season along with the rebrand of the series. During qualifying (If it is not rained shortened) drivers will compete for starting positions and one bonus point to the winner of each qualifying race. Drivers will start their qualifying races by the order of the 2023 championship standings or the order of which the confirmed they were racing this year.
During the races drivers will compete for position and points. The winner will take home 10 points, second will add 8 to their total, third will grab 6 points. Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh will get 4, 3, 2, 1 point(s) respectively.
RAIN THREAT
Rain is threatening the championship this year. With the threat starting around 12pm and not ending until around 4pm. The RFC has until 10pm on Saturday to get the season completed. Dime should allow them to get all 7 races in, even if qualifying is canceled.
NEXT YEAR
Many more changes to come in the future years. Next year, the RFC will visit more than one location to complete the series over a course of several weeks and/or months. On track news will be posted on X (Formerly Twitter) and posted LIVE on the website.
