Momentum for Chevrolet
The 2024 NASCAR Campaign is underway, and one key thing to note only four races in, Chevrolet is dominating the field.

Only four (4) races into the NASCAR season and it’s clear that one manufacturer had a better off season than the other two. Chevrolet has picked up the torch once again this year, even after losing the past two championships to Fords, and has ran with it.
Over the off season, Toyota and Ford made new bodies to replicate the change to their street counterparts. The Ford Mustang changed it’s look to a more aggressive front-end and rear to match the new Mustang Dark Horse. Toyota unveiled it’s new Toyota Camry last year, and NASCAR went with it. A more sleek and clean looking front nose to the new Toyota body has changed the aerodynamics of that car for the better. At least in the Next Gen era.
However, Chevrolet didn’t have any change. They kept the same body they had last year. Only coming into this year, they had the experience with it. They knew what the cars would do in traffic, in clean air and on different circuits. Chevrolet has a play book already written for the configuration of this car, Ford and Toyota, not so much.

Chevrolet has won the first three races of the season, only not winning this past weekend and Phoenix Raceway to Toyota driver Christopher Bell. This could be summed up to a track that’s difficult to pass at, the circumstances given in the race, or the new Short track package. Throw some strategy in there as well, because Chevrolet, for the most part, ran better than they finished.
Upon the other three races though, Daytona, Atlanta and Las Vegas, Chevrolet owned those tracks. William Byron (#24), Alex Bowman (#48) and Ross Chastain (#1) battling for the win in Daytona, all of which are Chevrolet’s. Daniel Suarez (#99) won in Atlanta with a last lap pass and a three wide, photo finish with yet another Chevrolet and a Ford. Kyle Larson (#5), kicked butt in Las Vegas, dominating the race and going on to win the third race of the year, and the fourth consecutive race by Chevrolet (Ross Chastain won the final race of the year in 2023 in the #1 Chevrolet).
The trend and momentum for Chevrolet is high right now, how long will it last?
